August 2025 – USA Working Equitation – WE in the Valley #1 and #2

On August 16–17, 2025, the inaugural “WE in the Valley” working equitation show ran at Saddle Peak Equestrian Center in Belgrade, Montana, with Stacie as Show Manager. The weekend was run as two USAWE-licensed competitions — WE in the Valley #1 and #2, licenses 25-108 and 25-109 — giving riders two scoring opportunities in a single weekend.

USAWE-licensed show, Belgrade, Montana, August 16–17, 2025 — Stacie G. Boswell, Show Manager

Working equitation is a discipline built from the field-work traditions of working ranches: dressage, an ease-of-handling obstacle course ridden for precision, and the same course ridden for speed. Sanctioned in the United States by USA Working Equitation (USAWE), licensed shows require a full slate of officials — for this one, judge Amy Starr, technical delegate Kim Pearson, and gate steward Sophia Wass, with Stacie managing the show.

The show came back for a second year: WE in the Valley returned to the USAWE calendar for September 26–27, 2026.

The show record is on the USAWE events calendar: WE in the Valley #1 & #2 (2025) and the 2026 edition. More about the sport at usawe.org.

Entries for the 2026 show (September 26–27) are open: enter online here.
